Background
VibrAlign was founded in 1983 by Dave Zdrojewski ("stro-yef-ski"). Dave had worked for IRD International as a Regional Manager and saw a unique opportunity to help maintenance teams develop and maintain precision vibration and alignment standards in order to achieve maximum reliability and economic benefit their organizations.

Originally headquartered in St. Albans , WVa, after 3 years VibrAlign moved its operations to Richmond, VA. A customer base quickly grew as VibrAlign offered its specialized services to the many industries operating in the Richmond area (among them tobacco, aluminum, power generation, chemicals, and machinery manufacturing).

In the course of its history, VibrAlign has been a distributor of vibration analysis equipment for some of the leading manufacturers in the world, including TEC, CSI, and SKF. These affiliations have placed VibrAlign field personnel right at the cutting edge of technology and developments in the field of vibration analysis. Today VibrAlign fields a team of highly experienced service providers who are respected as experts in vibration analysis, balancing, and machinery alignment. VibrAlign, Inc. is the US distributor of the Fixturlaser line of laser measurement and alignment systems. In addition, VibrAlign offers a unique team-based predictive maintenance program called PdM Solutions.

Fixturlaser AB has been in the alignment business since 1980. In 1984 Fixturlaser developed its first laser alignment system. The Combi-Laser was launched a few years later and became a success on the international market. It was the first laser alignment system to win Plant Engineering Magazine's Product of the Year award. In 2006 Fixturlaser launched the XA laser alignment system. The XA completely reinvented laser shaft alignment, including the use of Flash animated screens that literally walk the user through the alignment process. The XA also won Plant Engineering Magazine's Product of the Year award. The proof of Fixturlaser's success is that today Fixturlaser systems are used in more than 70 countries around the globe.

Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, VibrAlign has grown to be a world-recognized name in the reliability field.
